Dog Friendly

We love dogs and want to provide you with a truly dog friendly, hassle free experience.

Well behaved dogs are very welcome at the cottage.   It can be stressful taking your furbabies on holiday and they often end up with more luggage than we do! We have tried to take some of that hassle away by providing some useful things you might need. There are 2 x double bowl raised feeding stations. food scoops, extra dog beds, brush, tick removal gadget, doggie first aid stuff, dog towel, poo bags and treats.

We have installed a deer fence  around the substantial garden to keep your dogs safe and secure as the sheep are free-roaming around the cottage. If you are walking your dog around The Braes it is very important to keep them on the lead. The scenery is really beautiful. We just ask that you clean up after your pets and put poo bags in the Grey Bin at the cottage.

Dogs are allowed in all areas of the cottage but we would ask that throws are used on the furniture.  Your dog should NOT be allowed on the furniture if they are wet or muddy. A good tip is to keep bedroom doors closed!The floors downstairs are non- slip tiles, stairs are carpetted and upstairs is hardwood flooring. If your dogs makes a mess, theres a mop and other cleaning materials in the cupboard at the bottom of the stairs. 

Please do not move the feeding station from the tiled ground floor, dog bowls can be washed in the downstairs utility room.
